Who is Batman

I am curious to see how people feel about the two latest Batman video games compared to previous ones of the past and also out of all the actors who played Batman and other villians in the games and movies who is the best Batman of all time

I only played the demo for the 1st Batman game, but I really did like it and probably should have bought it. I don't have the newest one, but from all the videos I have seen it looks even better than the first one. It seems to have more DLC. I think I would buy the game just to play as Catwoman!

As far as older batman movies, I thought the 1st one was the best where Jack Nicholson was the Joker - I think he really stole the show so much they might have even called the movie, The Joker. But I do think that Michael Keeton makes a really good Batman, better than Val Kilmer and George Cloony.

Now with the new series with Christian Bale, I really like those movies a lot. I own both of them on blu-ray. I think Christian Bale does a very good job too and maybe even better than Michael Keeton.

I keep hearing about this Adam West guy that played in the original Batman series. I think Im too young to have seen that, but I did look it up on youtube before and seen some clips. Wow, Batman has really come a long way. Adam West looks kinda overweight to be Batman lol

some people say Adam West was the best because his Batman had more style and finess ok so I misspell words.....but Michael Keaton was a darker Batman who looked like he had social issues

o ok, well i think i havent seen much of Adam West. What I seen I didn't think was all that great but maybe cuz that was a very old show and it was good for back then. Yes I have to agree about what you say about Michael Keeton. The 1st one he was in, he was dark and it did look like he was affected by his past resulting in social issues.

The Adam West era of Batman was pure CAMP and directed at keepin the kiddies busy while Mom made dinner. It was good for it's time, but IMHO, just too damned silly.
The first round of new age Batman movies tried to stay closer to the original books - a darker yet still accessable "troubled hero." Micheal Keaton's turn was oerfect for that take on the Batman mythos, but still a far cry from what the Bat was really meant to be. Kilmer was a stopgap till they got someone better, but still did a passable job. Clooney had the looks. He was a little to cheerful for my likning tho.
Now the Christian Bale era...finally a director that understood how truly dark and troubled the Bat/Bruce could and should be. Christian understands, but is having a little trouble findin his true angst. This go round is by far my fav, because it follows very closely the graphic novels as apposed to the dumbed down comic books that they feed the youngsters.
And as far as the Joker goes, The original, Ceasar Romero, from the Adam West days was just over the top silly. Nicholson was menacing, but still a bit too silly. The Late Heath Ledger took that character and made him even more anti-social and dangerous than (I think) even the creators could have thought up. I can't think of anyone that could have done with that character what Heath did. And none that could have survived it any better than he did. To go that insanely dark, you have to truly LIVE the psychosis. And there, unfortunately, are very few people that could ever have come back from it. Far and away, my favorite portrayal.
As far as the games are concerned...I played the first one, Arkham Asylum, on a rental...liked it but haven't gone back yet to buy it...the new ones look to be even better from what I've seen. Only time will tell.

You can own assylum and the new 1 in bundle at walmart for 59.99 excul. At walmart... Tehe batman is fun game better movie but my favorite will always be batman forever love the seal song kissed by a rose tehe I got my frist kiss watching this movie...lolz

Lolz I was in highschool when we watched this movie... Yes frist kiss I know im only 32 but I will never forget that... And it was a ruff time in my life I was as poor as it gets my mother and I was living on 50bucks a week... And well he made my life disappear at that moment all I heard was kissed by a rose and everything esle went away...

LOL yea i remember that movie. Didn't really like George Cloony as Batman tho. I like all the characters like Dr Freeze and those one liners from Arnold Schwarzenegger were cheesy but made me giggle a bit at times and of course Uma Thurman was smexy as Poison Ivy and it was cool to see Alicia Silverstone back as Batgirl cuz she cute too. I didn't really think it was as good tho. Out of those 3 movies, I still think the 1st one with the Joker was probably the best. Its hard to make good sequels anyway.

I think after reading Snide's comments, I think its a tough call between Michael Keeton and Christian Bale. Both seem to portray the troubleness of being Batman. I think the latest Batman movies are definitely darker and definitely suit the Black Knight well. I think I will give Christian Bale a slight edge here tho. It's tragic that Heath Ledger who played the Joker died. He is a good actor and I think did a great job with portraying the sinister Joker. He too, seemed to be darker than Jack Nicholson's character. I can't wait for the new Batman movie to see where they take this series next.

LOL, I played the demo for Batman Arkham Asylum, but never got the game. Since you mentioned the bundle, I think I will buy that to get both games for $59.99.
