The Modeling Project

As yall probably have seen, I have been in a lot of fashion shows and competitions on PS Home. Towards in the end of this past year, I was in seasons 2 and 3 of The Project Runway, hosted by PrincessDom, May2099, and quasar338. See my previous posts for pics of these competitions, which were really a lot of fun. Even EP helped me when we needed a male model for one of the challenges in Project Runway 2.

While Project Runway was focused more on the designers, they have now created a new show called The Modeling Project which focuses on the models and all I can say is WOW. This show is unlike anything I have ever seen on Home. I thought that Project Runway was good, but this show has been different and a lot of fun. Besides the typical challenges and judging/eliminations, there are photo shoots for each of the challenges and the pics are used to determine who is eliminated and who stays. Challenges are announced on Mondays and photo shoots are done on Tuesdays/Wednesdays. Then the judging is done on Fridays. The photo shoots have been amazing. The 1st one was done on this elaborate set created at the new Desert club house and I had my 2nd one for this week's challenge last night, which included great shooting locations at a couple public spaces and then a personal space.

This has been a really fun experience and I have been meaning to write an article about the shows but havn't gotten a chance. I really wanted to compare it to my real life modeling experiences because this is a top notch show. May who designs the club and photo shoot sets is a graphic designer in real life and Adam, who takes the pics for the photo shoots is a real life photographer. So The show is extremely professional. I wish the whole process could all be video recorded, because it is seriously like being part of a reality TV show.

Last week's challenge was to imagine that you are the head of a band for your favorite music gendre. The goal for the models was to come up with a fit to sell an upcoming album, e.g. an album cover. Here is me in my hip-hop fit (of course lol) on the photo shoot set.

The previous pics, I took myself. But here are some of the pics taken by the show's photographer, Adam_Bell, who I must give so much credit too. Just like when I do real life modeling shoots, he tells you where to stand and how to pose and all the angles, etc. I can tell he is a real life photographer and he does an awesome job. He is reallly sweet too. The last pic is the one they used for the final review. I ended up in the top 3. I think I got 2nd

This week's challenge is to come up with a athletic outfit. I came up with a few and I'm glad I did, cuz when I showed up in the 1st one and told them I couldn't decide and they saw the 2nd one, they were all like YES, that one! I wasn't able to take pics of myself in it yet, but I will post those from Adam_Bell as soon as he puts them on the site. The judging will be this Friday!

Wow, it's Friday already! I had forgotten to post that I had made it through the judging last Friday to continue on in the show.

I been so busy and hadn't had time to post that as well as working on challenge for this week in which we were paired up with another model to face off in a country bar fight! lol I'll post pics from the photo shoot next. Judgement is tonight and so hopefully I will advance again!

This week's challenge was to pair up with another model for a country bar fight. So I came up with this cute pink country girl fit and here are a couple pics from the shoot this week (taken by BADD Inc's photographer Adam_Bell). We had a fun time coming up with all these fighting moves.

Sorry for the late update on this, but I wanted to let everyone know that I had my review on Friday and am proud to say that I was one of the winners that made it through The Modeling Project and will now have the priviledge to be models in Project Runway 4! YAYS!

So after starting with 20 models, the 7 that were selected to make it through, including myself were:
