"Over The Wall" Charity Event

Pixels4Progress is hosting an event on PlayStation Home for a charity called "Over The Wall" which provides activity camps for children with serious illnesses (http://www.justgiving.com/overthewall). The event will also be sponsored by Lockwood, who has offered prizes for contests during the event. As a mother, charities for children are always close to my heart, and I totally support this one. I just donated yesterday and hope you will too! ^__^

Hi everyone : )

Thought i'd pop by and say hello and to say a few things about the event,

First of all Thanks so much to TBaby who has been really kind with all the help provided to get the event know to people as well as her very kind donation at the start of this week = )

We have worked really hard on this event and we don't want anyone to leave disappointed on the day so we do have prizes to giveaway so can guarantee all donators something on the day.
People who don't donate but choose to attend may get something depending on the numbers attending.

Lockwood have really been behind us 100% with the event and are so grateful to them. So far we are falling short of our target we set ourselves for this stage. So if you can donate it's really appreciated even if its $2 even though its a small amount to yourselves its a great donation to us especially as they all add up.

Hey : ) It's great that so many have wanted to help. We are happy to have signed up as after the event we want to help support other groups events, as we have experienced how difficult they are to announce. Any help is great and any ideas that you can think of to let people know about the event is helpful so for example posting in forums, making videos, images, absolutely anything : )

We are also looking to recruit more people into the team. If anyone's interested in applying then Applications are on our BlogSpot. We don't do work for a specific group/website its for all PS Home users.
Ideally having a representative from each club/website would be ideal

I know we didn't have a meeting last night, otherwise I would have brought it up then, but please be sure to donate at http://www.justgiving.com/pixels4progress even if it's just a dollar! Every dollar adds up and they have reached 50% of their goal. Let's help them with the rest of the way!

I think the event today turned out to be a big success! The club filled up quick and we later moved to another club. 4 hours later, there were still a few of us hanging out and chatting. I met many people that I wouldn't otherwise have met from different countries since this was an international event that was actually hosted in the EU. The donation page is still up and Pixels4Progress has now reached 68% of their fundraising goal. You can help get them the rest of the way. No donation is too small because every dollar counts! Children are our future and any cause to help them is a good one!
